At Ulnooweg, we understand the unique circumstances of each Aboriginal business owner. We provide in-depth information and support during the application and loan repayment stage.
Business Services
In addition to our lending team, UDG has a professional business services unit which offers advice to the client during any stage of the corporate development of your product or service.
Ulnooweg can offer, at no charge to your business, advice in the context of business support, by assessing your business needs and determining your strategy for continued growth and success. Our Business Service Unit may recommend that you seek outside assistance to determine the viability of your business and/or a diagnostic assessment if deemed necessary.
By working closely with you, the Business Service Officer will offer advice and/or referrals with respect to the further development of your business idea, as well as refer you to government departments, agencies or individuals.
Our Business Serivice Officer can help you in establishing your financial records by identifying sources of revenue, related expenses and overhead costs, as well as ongoing regular monthly financial statements.
Pre-Care
The process of obtaining a business loan can be daunting. At Ulnooweg, we work with each client individually to help them find the financing option that is best suited to their needs. This may include referrals to government agencies, and/or other lenders.
If the client is eligible for an Ulnooweg loan, we walk through the application process with them, making sure they understand how to complete each section, and where to get more help for items such as financial statement and business plan development. In many cases, we will recommend that our clients work with consultants to complete their business plan, ensuring that the client learns about their prospective business, as well as having a professional perspective on the overall initiative.
During the application process, we make ourselves available to our clients to answer questions, review draft business plans and recommend further sources of information and market research that may be useful in their planning process.
After-Care
Once the doors are open, the Business Service Officer may provide a variety of services including but not limitied to: operational advice, marketing advice, viability advice, etc.
During the repayment phase, your Commercial Account Manager will stay in contact with you, and provide a referral to our Business Service Officer should the need arise for addictional business support.
