Michelle Richard

Managing Director – Ulnooweg Education Centre

Michelle became part of the Ulnooweg family in 2003 and has worn several hats over the years.  Her journey with Ulnooweg began with a contract position to assist in analyzing Ulnooweg’s historical lending practices.  This led to a position with the lending team, helping entrepreneurs throughout New Brunswick secure loans to start and grow businesses.

Since 2009, Michelle has been working with the Ulnooweg Education Centre, first as a Financial Analyst focusing on a financial literacy initiative for Chief and Councils, and since 2020, as Managing Director.  She is also deeply involved in leading an Ulnooweg Indigenous Communities Foundation initiative focused on empowering young people in Atlantic Canada to create positive, transformational change for the Indigenous youth in the region.

Prior to joining Ulnooweg, Michelle had several years of experience working for a major financial institution in retail branch management, commercial banking, and human resources.

Michelle has a Bachelor’s Degree from St. Francis Xavier University and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Dalhousie University.
